When you submit a donation request, we may collect:

- Donation item details (vehicle year, make, model, condition, or property description)
- Pickup address and preferred pickup date
- Whether you have the title to the donated item
- Any additional notes you provide
We do not collect payment card information. We do not sell your data to third parties.

- To process your donation request and coordinate free pickup
- To send you donation status updates via email and/or SMS (with your consent)
- To provide your IRS tax acknowledgment documentation
- To contact you about your pickup schedule

4. SMS Messaging Program
Program Name: Mercy House Donation Updates
Message Frequency: Up to 5 messages per donation (confirmation, pickup reminder, completion, tax receipt notice, and follow-up).
Message & Data Rates: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier plan.
Opt-In: By providing your mobile phone number on our donation form and checking the SMS consent box, you consent to receive text messages from us regarding your donation.
To Opt OUT: Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed.
To Opt IN again: Reply START to our number after opting out.

Supported Carriers: All major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and more. Carrier support is not guaranteed for all carriers.
5. Data Storage & Security

We retain your donation records as required for IRS compliance and tax documentation purposes (generally 7 years). We use Twilio for SMS delivery and Resend for email delivery — both are industry-standard compliant services.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only with:
- Twilio Inc. (SMS delivery)
- Resend (email delivery)
- Supabase (secure data storage)
- As required by law or legal process
7. Your Rights
